Brace yourself for the melodic, pop-blended likes of the band’s recent singles: ‘Archaeologist,’ ‘Pieces,’ ‘Listen,’ and ‘You Are Always Near’. Discover a treasure trove of never-before-heard compositions, such as ’Do You Hear Me?’, where post-punk meets The Who, or the “No Quarter” inspired title epic, ’Moving Forward’: a mesmerising 14-minute double parter. This sonic voyage has been meticulously arranged to delight your ears and stir your soul.
In September 2018, Vamoosery embarked on a journey that led them to the studio to create their first full-length, 10-track album. This extensive project involved composing, demoing, recording, producing, editing, mixing, mastering, video production, marketing preparation, and much more. To bring their vision to life, the band adopted a dedicated, piecemeal approach, booking local studios as their budget allowed, carefully crafting each element of the album over time. In a bid to propel the album over the finish line, Vamoosery launched a Kickstarter campaign, raising an impressive total of £4,555. During this campaign, they unveiled a captivating music video for their single, ‘Archaeologist’, where singer Sheridan White is seen gradually excavated, revealing the gold hidden on the ‘inside’ – a must see!
The development of the album was not without its challenges, lineup adjustments and personal tragedies. Despite these setbacks, however, their unwavering dedication remained unshaken to see this album brought to us today. With enchanting female-led vocals, soaring guitar solos, and dynamic compositions, Vamoosery creates a blend reminiscent of Evanescence and Paramore, yet infused with progressive rock sensibilities. This album, therefore, is a musical journey that will resonate with listeners of the likes of ‘Neal Morse’ or ‘Big Big Train’ as much as it will with fans of ‘Nightwish’ or ‘Paramore’.
